Dos Ojos Cenote - Mexico

2010.01.14
These are the main entrances to Dos Ojos Cenote. Dos Ojos means "two eyes" as from an aerial view the cenote entrances represent a pair of eyes. These entrances are used by snorkelers and scuba divers to explore the underground caves. I snorkeled here twice, absolutely amazing; the water is rainwater filtered through limestone, it is the clearest/purest water I've ever seen. The Bat Cave was home to a dozen vampire bats ;).

Lake O'Hara, British Columbia, Canada

2009.08.10
Lake O'Hara is simply amazing, certainly world-class hiking -- definitely one of the best hikes I've ever done. I particularly enjoyed hiking the Yukness Ledges where the landscape appeared as though a mountain was dropped from the sky, shattering like glass (see the fifth scene in the 360 set). The weather was rather cloudy, though made for some dramatic skies. I will re-vist this area many more times and add more views to this set.

Overnight at Plain of Six Glaciers, Lake Louise, Alberta

I've wondered what the views of Lake Louise would be under a starry sky. . .
See the glacier under a full moon and enjoy!!! :)

Plain of Six Glaciers @ Lake Louise, Alberta

2008.02.21
This was such an awesome day. The weather was absolutely perfect. I can still feel the sun on my face when I look through these images. I had been watching the weather for weeks looking for a sunny day, when one arrived on the forecast -- out of the blue -- I was off to Lake Louise the next morning. It was certainly worth seizing this opportunity.
Click image to load the 360 -- you can 'walk' through the panoramas by clicking the arrow markers and/or load the map to skip ahead or back (if ONLY hiking was that easy!!). See if you can find the moutaineers in the second 'scene' :).

Vancouver 2008

I enjoyed several trips to Vancouver in 2008 where I shot 360s on each trip; these 360s are compiled here in a five-scene collection. Sites include: Burrard Inlet, Lighthouse Park (x3) and Bloedel Conservatory (see if you can find the parrott in the conservatory!).
There are some interesting things that can be done with 360 images; look down in the "Burrard Inlet" scene, click the link and see space folded into a 'planet-like' projection.
